Elizabeth Harris Ogden, 90, of Madison Heights passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Harold Ogden. Born October 11, 1927, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Henry Elmer Harris, Sr. and the late Lillian Page Harris.
Elizabeth was a retired employee for the Central Virginia Training Center and a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by one son, Harold Whitney Ogden.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Shearin Ferguson (Mitchell) of Jonesborough, TN; her brother, Henry E. Harris, Jr. (Carolyn) of Franklin; daughter-in-law, Minnie Ogden of Madison Heights; two granddaughters, Deborah Cooper (Joey) of Madison Heights and Christine O. Lewis of Madison Heights; six great grandchildren, Stephen (Autumn), Whitney, Corey, Brittany, Derrick and Brandon; five great-great grandchildren; and two nieces.
A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 6, 2018, at Fort Hill Memorial Park, with Pastor Bob Mills officiating.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
