Dean was my mother’s sister, my dear aunt and friend. She always wanted to know about our family members and how they were doing, and she kept her wonderful sense of humor, even while her health was suffering. She fought a long and hard battle to live, but finally said it was time to leave us and join her loved ones in Heaven. May her beautiful face always shine upon us! Our love and wishes for peace, Berk, Ashley, Jason, and family.

We were so sad to hear of Dean’s passing.  We know she will be solely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. A donation was sent to ASPCA in her memory.

This is written to offer sincere condolences to the family of Dean Angus as I knew her for the 12 years we shared at Boonsboro (Elementary) High School.  Our senior class had nine girls and six boys.  Each of these members of the senior class went on to successful careers of their choosing.  Dean was a spirited basketball and volleyball player who played on our shortened gym floor.  Dean was always a great classmate from first grade right on to the 12th grade.  Those were the days when we had one teacher per grade until  eight grade when we moved to the big brick building for "moving" classes with teachers teaching specialties.  After Ms. Fones finished drilling us on the English language grammar, we were ready for many teachers throughout the week.
  Dean was special.  She was consistent, a solid friend, a worthy student who proved to be very reliable, practical, and honest.  She was a friend liked by everyone.  She did not put up with nonsense and always held her own.  She was an excellent basketball player and was always seen running to lead her Boonsboro Eagles team to victory over Big Island, Montvale, Moneta, Huddleston, Stewartsville and even Madison Heights and New London. People loved her. Peace be with you Dean.

Dean Angus Carwile was the daughter of the late Henry Bargamin Angus and Ruby Stratton Angus. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Henry “Jack” Angus, Odell Angus, Davis Angus, and James Angus; two sisters, Mary McGuire and Roselle Martin; and three nephews, Reginald Angus, Stephen Angus, and Larry Angus.


Mrs. Carwile is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Berkley Evans Carwile; her daughter, Ashley Carwile of Madison Heights: her son, Jason Carwile and wife Christie of Hardy; a sister, Beverly A. Wright and husband Sammy of Piney River; two grandchildren, Evan Carwile and Erin Carwile; 19 nieces, 14 nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
