Born in Lynchburg, November 5, 1959 he was the son of Dale Weakley Kidd of Madison Heights and the late Clarence Montague Kidd, Jr. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Thomas Kidd.
David was a self-employed Master Electrician. He enjoyed being in the outdoors where he loved to fish. Another passion of David's was NASCAR. He loved everything about the sport, Davey Allison and Dale Jarrett being his favorite drivers, and he would follow their races with great excitement. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan. David was a charter member of Amelon United Methodist Church where he had been active having taught Sunday school and was one of the church sound technicians. He was a loving son, father and grandfather.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by three children, Amy Kidd (Ben), Lyndsey Hoyle (Cameo) and Christopher Kidd; three grandchildren, Dayton Myers, Ion Eagle and Everly Eagle and a dear friend, Patricia Tschohl.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Amelon United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Edinger officiating.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
