Born on June 1, 1947 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Melvin L. Fogle and Rachel M. Fogle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Fogle Bowling and brother, Michael Fogle.
Danny proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. After his service was completed, he held several jobs in the community; the first being at Old Dominion Box Company, then Englander Woodstoves and finally retiring from Shibuya Hoppman.
He loved Classic cars, camping, fishing, spending time with family and friends on the back porch, and his beloved church, Monroe Church of God. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia C. Fogle; his daughter, Heather Wilson and her husband Ron; his pride and joy, his grandson, Jack Wilson; his two brother-in-laws, Carl Campbell and his wife Janice and Ronnie Campbell and his wife Denise; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. James Whitten and Rev. Susan Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post 16.
