Cynthia was born on July 29, 1949 to the late Thomas Floyd Reynolds and Frances Florence (Sessler) Reynolds, in Lynchburg.
Cynthia obtained her high school diploma in 1999 from Amherst County High School and went on to obtain her Associate’s Degree from Central Virginia Community College. Cynthia worked at the Garment Factory in Amherst, then was a stay at home mother with her three young children, where she helped run the family farm. When her children were older, she returned to the workforce at Hermle Black Forest Clocks in Amherst and ultimately retired from Ericsson in 2004.
In addition to her parents, Cynthia was proceeded in death by her husband Phillip Wade Wright, two sisters Sheila and Sylvia Reynolds, daughter Tina Atkins, granddaughter Rebecca Painter, and beloved dog Scruffy. Cynthia is survived by her daughter Teresa Mann (Daryl) of Schuyler, son Phillip “Tuffy” Wade Wright II (Cindy) of Amherst, three sisters: Sandra Angus, Shirley Ashwell, and Sharon Caler, son in-law Clifford Atkins, grandchildren: Mandy Mays (Doug), Samantha Kidd (Timmy), Cameron “Joey” Campbell (Ashley), Brian Escher (Savannah), Kaleigh Powers (Adam), Jarrett Zirkle, Candace Rose (Roger), Ashleigh Monroe (Zachary), Brittany Zirkle (Eric), Tiffany Jennings (Chris), Heather Zirkle (Michael), Phillip “TJ” Wright III (Kayla), Catherine Campbell (Logan), Savannah Mann, Michelle Bryant (Paul), Harold “Aaron” Wright, Harley “Andrew” Wright, Herbert “Alex” Wright (Hannah), Clifford “CJ” Atkins Jr (Rosa), and Ava Mann, as well as a whole host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. the Wright Family Cemetery in Amherst.
