Claude Melvin Eubank
August 7, 1922 – June 24, 2012

Claude Melvin Eubank, 89, of Madison Heights, passed away June 24, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, of 63 years, Opal Taylor Eubank.
Born August 7, 1922, in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late James and Mary Riley Eubank. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Pershing, James, and Homer Eubank; and a sister, Euphan E. Creasy.
Mr. Eubank was a United States Army, WW II, veteran. He was a longtime member and deacon at Thomas Rd. Baptist Church, and a member of The Gideon’s Intl. He was a former member of American Legion Post 100, and was retired from Lynchburg General Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Elois E. Jennings, and Edna E. Morcom and husband Bobby, both of Madison Heights; four grandchildren, Glenda Ramsey and husband Keith, Teresa Thomas and husband Eric, Brianne Sullenger, and husband Ben, and Lauren Harrell and husband Chris; eight great-grandchildren, Justin, Jillian, Bailey, Parker, Berkleigh, Claire, Alexis, and Colson, many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. tonight, Monday, June 25, 2012, at Whitten Monelison Chapel, and at other times at the residence.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2012,at Thomas Rd. Baptist Church, Pate Chapel, by the Rev. Jonathan Falwell, and the Rev. David Heerspink. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Thomas Rd. Baptist Church or to The Gideon’s Intl.
