Barbara Franklin Brooks

She was born on May 11, 1933 in Amherst, daughter of the late Herbert L. Franklin and Lillian Eva Franklin. She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil R. Brooks, Sr., one son, Freddie A. Brooks, one sister, Joyce Haynes, and one brother, Alton Franklin.

Barbara was an avid gardener. Her passion for gardening brought forth the most beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, as she always had delicious food ready for her children's friends when they came over. She had a way of making everyone feel at home and will be remembered for her hospitality and kindness. She will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons Cecil Brooks, Jr. (wife Deb), Donnie Brooks (wife Martha), her daughter Wanda McGee (husband David), her daughter-in-law LaNelle Brooks, her grandsons Donnie Brooks, Jr. and Justin Brooks, and two granddaughters.

The family has requested the services be private.
