Vic was born September 19, 1939, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Salvatore and Della (Battiste) Tominello. Vic served in the United States Air Force from 1957–1961, where he was stationed in North Carolina. After his time in the military, Vic returned to Pennsylvania. He then moved to Michigan, where he was a produce manager for A&P grocery stores. Among his hobbies, Vic loved automobiles, fishing, cooking, and gardening. He made friends easily and was always up for a party. He had many long-time friendships, especially with his best friend Don. He will be dearly missed by all.
Vic was preceded in death by his father, Salvatore, his mother, Della, and his brother Joe. He is survived by his sister, Rosalie Stevenson; his three sons, Daniel (Ann) Tominello, Michael (Karina) Tominello, and Donald Tominello; his grandchildren, Brooke (Will) Sinnott, and Madison (Mason) Lopez; and his great-grandson, Liam.
A visitation for Vic will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Edward Swanson and Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Rd, Madison Heights, MI 48071.
A committal service and military honors will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM, at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Folds of Honor Foundation in Vic’s memory.
