Robert Victor Ochoa, age 79, went home to be with the Lord on May 3rd, 2021, after a prolonged illness. He was the 3rd child of John Mata Ochoa and Yvonne Ochoa born October 11th, 1941 in Detroit. A life long resident of Michigan, he grew up in Detroit, raised his children in Dearborn and retired with wife Ann in Warren, Michigan. Known as Bob to most and Uncle Paul to family, he was a master mechanic who had a career in the manufacturing industry. He was a foreman at Chrysler for many years and retired from 4slides in Madison Heights.
He was passionate about music and played bongos and the conga drum. In his younger days, he loved camping with his first wife Phyllis and their children and enjoyed traveling in general. He drove across the United States and even into Mexico. He has an immeasurable love for his family. He loved spending time with the grandchildren, always making them feel loved. His grandchildren were his world.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, a brother John Allen Barker and sister Renee (Lou) Herber.
He is survived by his wife Anath (Ann), his children, Raymond Ochoa, Cynthia Crawford, Susan Bashaw, Darrel Ochoa, Crystal Greathouse and Angela (Brian) Hutchison. Also his stepchildren Larry (Linda) Ramsey, Shirley (Jim) Allen, Sandy (Randy) Murphy, Sharon (Steve) Thrasher, Nancy (Dale) Thompson, Tammie (Ron) Browning, Jeff Ramsey and Angela (Tony) Roberts. He was loved by 9 grandchildren, 18 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 7 step-great grandchildren. He will be missed by all who loved him.
