Patrick Allen Schmidt age 69, of Clinton Township, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2022. Pat was a loyal and loving husband to Sharon (Spranger) his wife of almost 40 years. Pat was also an avid musician, singing and playing guitar for many years with his friends in several bands. He always brought joy to all who heard him play. Pat graduated from Bishop Foley High School in Madison Heights, and was a graduated from Macomb County Community College.
Pat had a successful career in the tooling and automation industry, working with several firms in the Detroit Area. Most recently since 2014, Pat was a Technical Support Engineer at MAG Automotive in Sterling Heights, where he was respected and loved by all his fellow employees. Whether at home, at work or at play, Pat impacted everyone in a positive, joyful way. He will be surely missed.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents Francis and Virginia Schmidt, his sister Frances (Henry) Loewe. Pat is survived by his wife Sharon, his brothers Mark of Royal Oak, MI, and Dale of Lakeville, MN. and his niece Katie Koch and her sister Lindsay of Denver CO.
Visitation for Pat will be on Thursday February 3, 2022 from 4:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home 30351 Dequindre Madison Heights, MI. 48071.
