Jack (Giacomo) Rizzo age 84, a long time resident of the Madison Heights area, entered eternal life peacefully November 29, 2011 surrounded by family and friends after a brief illness. Husband of the late Prudence, his true love of 50 years. Dear father of Mick (Jodi) Rizzo, Pauline (Bill) Petterson, Vincent (Kate) Rizzo, Penny Rizzo, Karen (Randy) Heikkinen and Therese (Mark) Robbins. Jack is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, countless nieces and nephews and friends. Brother of the late Anne Fiorvento. Jack worked for Eaton Mfg. and Borman Dairy, a division of Farmer Jack/A&P. Jack's life was service, family and friends, site thousands of examples of his unselfish caring. Anyone who knew him was touched by some act of kindness. Longtime member of St. Vincent Ferrer Church, Madison Heights, MI. and St. Louise de Marillac Church, Warren, Mi. Jack always volunteered for any function that increased the quality of life. It was jack and Prudence inspiration that led son Vince to devote his catering expertise to feeding seniors, shut-ins, and homeless on Christmas day, a tradition that will celebrate 30 years this year.
