Jack was proud to serve in the United States Army from 1966-1968. When returning from the Army he married the love of his life, Lynn in Royal Oak, MI and spent 55 wonderful years together. During his working years he spent it in sales with Tool and Die until he retired in 2020. In Jack's free time he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, he was a member of the Shriner Motor Corp. Jack was an original founding member of the F.R.M.C. and was most proud that he rode his motorcycle across country. A few of his other hobbies included, reading books, watching football, playing chess, hunting and painting. Jack will be missed by all who knew him and especially by his beloved pup Annabelle.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Lynn; their children Rachell (Justin) Garrison, Jacquelynn (Gregory) Robinson, Quentin Hayes; grandchildren, Dylan, Carson, Brooklynn, Austin, Lilly; siblings, Victoria (Keith) Van Sickle, Joseph (Diane) Hayes; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Mary Helen Hayes and his brothers, Paul Hayes, Peter Hayes, and Robert Hayes.
A memorial visitation for Jack will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 from 1 pm to 8 pm at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will occur Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 10 am until an 11 am Memorial Service at Edward Swanson and Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071. Inurnment will be at Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkeley, Michigan.
