David passed peacefully in his home on Thursday, November 28, 2024. He was 70 years old. David was born and raised in Michigan. He resided in the Warren area for most of his life. He married the love of his life, Diana (Desilets), in 1974. They went on to have three wonderful sons; Andrew, Bradley, and Ryan. David ran a successful construction and snow removal business, working hard to provide for his family.
David especially enjoyed the Christmas season and loved going to flea markets, often in search of something to add to his decoration collection. He loved Dachshunds and had several over the years that were his constant companions, even on trips to the store. He loved to hunt and especially loved spending time with his family.
David is predeceased by his wife Diana and his son Ryan. He is survived by two sons: Andrew and Bradley. David was one of six children born to Andrew and Helen Kurmas. He is also survived by his siblings: Andrew Kurmas, Patty Bock and Sharon Noble. Also predeceasing him are his brothers Raymond Kurmas and Robert Kurmas.
A visitation for David will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071.
The family will also greet guests at the funeral home from 10:00 AM up until the time of the Service at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 6, 2024.
Immediately following the funeral service, he will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Rd, Michigan, MI 48038.
