Danny proudly served his country in the United States Air Force before embarking on a long career with AT&T, where he worked from 1966 until his retirement in 2002. Even in retirement, Danny stayed active by taking small jobs such as driving an armored truck and helping with local cemetery duties. His work ethic and commitment to his community were always strong.
In his younger years, Danny had a passion for riding motorcycles and was a lifelong football fan, but above all things, Danny cherished his role as a grandfather. Some of his happiest moments were spent with his granddaughter, taking her to the park while creating memories that will last a lifetime.
The most significant moment in Danny's life was when he was saved, being baptized at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. His love for the Lord was deep and he took great comfort in knowing his final destination.
Danny was a devoted husband to his wife Laura for 53 years; Loving father to Jay (Stephanie) Williams, the late Alan Williams, and Jeffrey Williams; cherished grandfather to Paityn (His Pretty); dearest brother to the late Harmon Williams, Norman Williams, and Twana Harris; wonderful uncle to many nieces and nephews.
