Born in Scotland to the late James and Margaret McIntosh, Chrissie and her late husband migrated to the United States to build a life full of adventure and love. Together, they explored the world, fulfilling every item on their bucket list before his passing.
A woman of immense strength and independence, Chrissie was known for her sharp wit, friendly nature, and love of life. She spent her winters in Florida, where she enjoyed soaking up the sunshine and creating many memories. She loved to travel, but her true joy was found in the simple pleasures of life: bingo games, lively Chardonnay nights, and dancing.
Chrissie was a social butterfly, touching the hearts of everyone she met. Her vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Chrissie was a devoted wife to the late Marshall Smith; loving mother to Duncan Smith and Gail (Ken) Rutkowski; cherished grandmother to Evin (Sarah) Rutkowski, Connor Smith, Nina (Steven) Rutkowski, Kyle Rutkowski, and Natalie Smith; dearest great grandmother to Carter and Brooklyn.
A visitation for Chrissie will be held Monday, September 30, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Rd, Madison Heights, Michigan 48071.
Her funeral service will be held privately with her family.
