Barbara Jean Adams (Salvati), of Canton, Michigan, passed away on July 26, 2024 at the age of 77. She was the devoted wife of the late Terry Adams, who preceded her in death in 1996; Loving mother of Kevin (Cyndi) Adams; Cherished grandmother of Tessa and Cooper Adams. Barbara was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law and friend, Debi Adams.
Barbara lived a life helping others. She worked for over 26 years as a school paraprofessional, primarily with children who had special needs. She retired from Lamphere High School in 2006. Following her retirement she enjoyed her time as a homebody, and delighted in being able to help care for her grandchildren. She also maintained her friendships with her school age friends, and would get together with them for lunch as often as she could. Barbara also loved her longtime bible study Harmony group. She is going to be dearly missed.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 2-8 PM at Edward Swanson and Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071. A brief gathering will follow Friday, August 2, 2024 at 10 AM until time of funeral service at 11 AM, also at Edward Swanson and Son Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest with her late husband privately at Christian Memorial Gardens West in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
