Alice P. Hernandez, age 87 of Madison Heights, passed away October 5, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Cecilio. Loving mother of Sylvia Hernandez, Barbara Hernandez, Diane Hernandez, Linda (John) Mangum and Herman Hernandez. Dear grandmother of Richard, Celinda, Belen, John, Danielle, David, Jacob, Philip, Rebekah, Joseph, Anna, Cecilio, Nicholas, Benedict and Isabella. Great-grandmother of Hannah, Jefferson, Courtney, Esteban, Emelia, Marco, Miguel, Brianna, Mia and Zya. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with an evening Rosary Service at the Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Rd., Madison Heights. Alice will lie in state on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1050 Porter St., Detroit.
