Lisa Marie Luhmann (Dineen) of Madison, Connecticut, formerly of Maywood, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at the age of 68, on November 24, 2024. She is predeceased by her beloved parents, Tom and Grace Dineen (Allesendrello) of Saddle Brook, New Jersey.
Lisa leaves behind her cherished daughter, Kimberly Piagentini (Luhmann), along with her beloved grandchildren, Luke (17), Grace (14) and Zach (11). Being a devoted Grandmother brought her immeasurable joy and purpose. She will be greatly missed.
She was born February 2, 1956 in Saddle Brook, New Jersey. She attended St. Philip’s Elementary School and went on to become a student athlete (softball) and graduate of Paramus Catholic High School in 1974. She went on to study medicine at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Lisa remained active with her alumni associations, planning countless opportunities for reuniting with her beloved classmates and friends.
Her career began as a nurse for a private allergist in New Jersey. She continued on as an entrepreneur. Lisa opened a successful business, Muzik Unlimited, in Elmwood Park, NJ, which specialized in music, videos and sports memorabilia. She became a fixture in the community and her employees adored working for her. She changed careers later in life moving to Romano Enterprises with her dear friend and later Unity Electric, where she most currently worked.
Lisa Luhmann’s love was the arts. Music was her passion. Her ability to sing carries through to her beautiful granddaughter Grace. She spent her childhood patronizing her local theater and listening to her father sing in the church choir. As an adult, she adored going to Broadway and seeing her favorite professional music artists live in concert.
Her other passion was cooking. Lisa lived in her kitchen, always exploring new recipes and foods. She often reminisced of the days she spent cooking with her grandmother and tending to her garden. She found immeasurable joy cooking for others and loved to host friends and family. However nothing brought her more joy than to cook for her beloved grandchildren. They spent countless hours cooking together in the kitchen just as she did with her grandmother. We will cherish these memories and her recipes.
