Larry Daniel Webb was born January 14, 1956 in Norwalk Connecticut to William H. and Delita B. (Sprauve) Webb. He grew up in Ridgefield, CT attending Ridgefield Public Schools and was a local star athlete in Track& Field and Football.
Larry briefly attended Southern Connecticut State College (University) and would take up residence during his adult life in several communities along the Connecticut shoreline traveling north of New Haven along I-95. He finally settled in Clinton Connecticut where he would reach the end of his journey on December 9, 2020.
Larry was gifted with the ability to connect and engage with all people using humor from a young age and as an Adult by listening as people told him their story offering his wisdom and insights. He leveraged this throughout his life as a friend to many and in his work life within the Restaurant industry spanning 45 years, in numerous bartending positions (starting at King Neptune in Ridgefield, CT; leading to Gentrees in New Haven, CT; to many to name in between and ending at Amarones Restaurant in Guilford, CT) but most notably as the General Manager of the Chowder Pot in Branford, CT. Larry had a big heart that would take many hits as he weaved in and out of the mishaps and changes in life. Coping would lead him to become addicted to crack until the knowledge and understanding of his ability to overcome it would be awakened in a conversation with his older Sister where she stated that he would be addicted for life. Not settling for this, Larry did overcome his addiction and as founder of Insights LLC. dedicated the rest of his life helping others overcome theirs. Being in service to others was his passion as he would awaken every morning with the Mantra, “How May I Serve today?”. His journey would lead him to begin penning his story over the course of the last 10 years of overcoming not only addiction, but anything in life. This resulted in the publishing of his life’s work and legacy, “The Little Book: from This to Bliss” (available on Amazon). Excerpts from his learning led to curriculums being established and taught by Larry in 3 High Schools for troubled Youths within the State of Connecticut. Larry’s father would often say” Mission Accomplished” when he himself would complete a major task/work. Larry’s mission has been accomplished in this life as he transitions from “This to full Bliss” and now is at rest.
Larry is predeased by his Parents, William H. Sr and Delita Webb, his sister Conchita Tomaw and his niece Daneesha Lay. He leaves behind to celebrate his life, one brother, William H.
