John Armstrong Fennelly, 31, of Hamden, CT formerly of Madison passed away, suddenly, on Saturday, February 11, 2017. He was born in New Haven, CT on July 10, 1985, beloved son of Denise Muir Fennelly of North Branford, CT and the late Richard E. Fennelly, Jr. He was a graduate of Daniel Hand High School and Plymouth State University, where he obtained a B.A. in English. John was a member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. John is survived by his dear loving brother, Richard E. Fennelly, III, of Hamden, CT, Donald B. Lippincott (Diane), North Haven, CT, Robert B. Muir, San Jose, CA, Geoffrey Muir, Hartford, CT, Richard (Barbara) Nelson, Hamilton, VA, Patrick Fennelly, New Haven, CT, Jim Fennelly, New Haven, CT, and Timothy (Wendy) Fennelly, Coventry, RI, as well as numerous cousins, friends, and the true love of his life, his dear soulmate, Kelsey Rae Lindner, Deep River, CT.
John had a huge, kind, and generous heart and no one could have ever asked for a more loyal, faithful, or trustworthy friend. You could always count on him for anything and he was there for you. He adored being outside where he could embrace the elements; skiing in the northeast or out west; hiking and camping in CT, VT, NH or the US National Parks; photography, chopping wood on "the farm," painting bridge infrastructures, attending concerts and all sorts of music. His beautiful smile would light up a room and he could reduce people to tears of laughter in seconds. John will be greatly missed by all who knew him and the many lives that he touched.
