Henry C. Benham

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, and his two sons, John and wife Betty, and Ronald. He is also survived by his two grandsons, John Paul and Christopher. His sister, Jane Dutton and his nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth and his brother Gilbert.

Henry was born January 19, 1932, the son of Lester and Frances Smith Benham. He was a graduate of Hamden High school and attended New Haven College before going into business. He was the past owner of the Hamden Oil Company and on the board of the National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers Association. Before going into business, He served in the United States Navy Air Force. He was past president of the Hamden Rotary and received the honor of a Paul Harris Fellowship.

Henry loved traveling, his boat, fishing, and scuba diving.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Henry’s name to an organization of your choosing, to Multiple Sclerosis, or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Calling hours will be held on from 4pm until 7pm Friday, February 21, 2025, at Swan Funeral Home in Madison, located at 825 Boston Post Rd, Madison, CT.
