Helen C. Gould

Helen Cynthia Gould, age 79 of Madison, CT, formerly of Vernon, CT and South Weymouth, MA passed away peacefully on August 18, 2012. Helen was born in Worcester, MA on June 1, 1933 to the late Mabel (Pirpos) and Thomas Kiakis. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her lifelong companion Kenneth Gould. She is survived by her daughters Nancy Karas and her husband David of Madison, CT, and Carolyn Barlow and her husband Jim of Darien, CT; sister Rita Dudziak of Natick, MA; brothers Harry and Jim Kiakis of Laguna Beach, CA; grandchildren Emily, Matthew, and Nell Karas, and Amanda, Alex, and Samantha Barlow.

Helen graduated from Clark University in Worcester, MA with a Bachelors Degree in English. She worked for many years at McEvoy Travel in Worcester, MA and Catholic Family Services in Hartford, CT.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 1:00 PM at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Hartford, CT followed by a reception immediately after. Interment will be private.
