Elaine F. Finnegan

Elaine was born in Boston on December 20, 1927, to Francis and Agnes Mulloy Scott. Elaine worked as a bookkeeper for Sylvania Electronics for many years. Until his passing in 1982, Elaine was the beloved wife of Thomas J. Finnegan.

Throughout her life, Elaine was an incredibly active person—she loved to knit, bowl, and, most of all, play golf. She could routinely be found watching golf tournaments on television. In her later years, Elaine also enjoyed playing cards at the senior center, doing puzzles, and reading historical fiction.

Elaine is survived by her four children: Margaret Finnegan of Madison, CT; Mary Finnegan of Stoneham, MA; Thomas Finnegan of North Andover, MA; and Stephen Finnegan of Austin, TX. She is also survived by six grandchildren—Colleen, Sean, Caitlin, Kelly, Erin, and Meghan—and two great-grandchildren—Richard and Emma. Elaine was predeceased by her husband, Tom; her siblings, Edmond, Marie, and Lorraine; and her granddaughter, Cara.

All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elaine’s memory to Middlesex Health Hospice.
