David Horbal, 65, of North Branford tragically passed away on March 28, 2024. He was the youngest of five children. He was born in Middletown, CT on April 26, 1958 to the late George and Sarah (Bielot) Horbal.
Before moving to North Branford, he resided in Berlin, CT. David grew up in Deep River, CT and was raised by his dearly beloved aunts and uncle; Katherine, Steffy, and Andrew Bielot. He graduated from Valley Regional High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from Eastern CT State University. He was currently employed at the Home Depot in Hamden and also worked in landscaping and was a substitute teacher.
Through his lifetime, David enjoyed traveling, golfing, outdoor camping and hiking. He channeled his creativity through writing and journaling.
David was predeceased by his brother George and is survived by his three sisters; Janice (John) Valerio, Maryann Boryczki, Susan (David) Booth. Three nephews, John M. Valerio (Shin), and their two daughters. Kevin Boryczki, Jeffrey (Skila) Boryczki, and their two children. Two nieces; Sarah Morier and her daughter, Andrea (Jonathan ) Fallin and their two children, along with numerous cousins.
David was quiet, kind, and unassuming and will be forever loved by his family. In memoriam, he led us to become better human beings.
In lieu of flowers, take a quiet moment to enjoy nature, do something nice for a stranger, or listen to a recitation of the rosary on your phone.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on April 12th, 2024 at 11:00 am in St Joseph Church 49 Middlesex Tpk. Chester, CT 06412. Burial to follow at St Joseph Cemetery, Chester, CT
