Woodfin G. Hudgens, Sr., 91, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 14, 2013. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will meet friends on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Ed Chambliss officiating.
Mr. Hudgens was born in Butts, County to the late Enoch and Mattie Hudgens. He served in the United States Navy and was a member of Mikado Baptist Church, where he was known as “Mr. Peppermint” and a member of the Ambassadors Sunday School Class.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty nine years, Joanne H. Hudgens of Byron, daughter, Brenda Tucker of Lizella, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
