WARNER ROBINS, GA - William "Floyd" Haynes, 72, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1P.M. Saturday, August 21, 2010 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Wayne Holcomb will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Haynes was preceded in death by his wife, Sybil Turner Haynes. He was born in Dodge County the son of the late John Henry Haynes and Willie Mae Harrell Haynes. He was a graduate of Dodge County High School and living in Warner Robins most of his life. For many years he owned and operated the Warner Robins Shell service station on North Davis Drive. Mr. Haynes was a mechanic retired as an Aircraft Support Tech at Robins Air Force Base. He attended Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, auto racing, Classic Cars and coaching Basketball. Most of all, Mr. Haynes enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and his grandchildren.
Survivors include his family whom he adoredÉhis children, Sharon A. (Charles) D'Anna of Atlanta, Bridgett A. (Ralph) Maier of Warner Robins, William Haynes of Panama City, FL, Richie Haynes of Oklahoma City, OK and Mark D. (Stephanie) Haynes of Bonaire; his grandchildren, Macie Haynes, Aidan Haynes, Jacque LeCoe of Monroe and Ezra Maier of Atlanta; his brother and sisters, Harold Haynes, Pearl White and Sara Owens; a number of nieces and nephews.
Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery has charge of arrangements.
