William David Dukes, 44, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 26, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Griffin officiating.
David was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Mitchell and Ann Dukes. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Mary Francis Casteel, brother, Steven Dukes, and aunt, Barbara Jean Taul. He was a firefighter with the Danville Volunteer Fire Department. David attended the Shurlington Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed fishing and stock car racing. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and cousin.
He is survived by his wife, Genie B. Dukes, children, Sara Anne Dukes, Craig Michael (Sarah) Smith, Tabitha Smith, three grandchildren, Paige, Hunter and Ivey, grandmother, Loree Dukes (Bill) aunt Vicki (Terry) Smith, mother and father in-law, Susan and Terry Burgamy.
