William Alonzo "Billy" Curtis, Jr., 72, of Gray, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. The family will greet friends from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, Saturday, at Snow's at Macon Memorial Park. Services will be held at 3:00pm, Sunday, June 30, 2024, at Pitts Chapel, in Jones County with Rev. John Haney officiating. Interment will follow at Pitts Chapel Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Curtis was born September 26, 1951, in Macon to the late William Alonzo Curtis, Sr. and Mildred Elizabeth Lazenby Curtis. He honorably and proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam. Mr. Curtis was a retired machinist for Robins Air Force Base, a former delivery driver for Chi-Chester's Pharmacy and also worked at the Jones County Recycling Center. He enjoyed fishing, softball and football, however, his biggest joy was spending time with his family.
Mr. Curtis is survived by his wife of fifty-three years: Linda Sue Curtis; children: April Keenum (B.J.), Amy Curtis, Angela Posey (Matthew) and John Curtis (Crystal); grandchildren: Molly Keenum, Will Keenum, Jake Keenum, L.J. Curtis, Laney Curtis, Abby Posey and Cam Posey; sisters: Dottie Glass and Bonnie Jones and several nieces and nephews.
