William “Bill” T. Pelt, 82, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 3, 2015 in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Gibbs will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the funeral home.
Mr. Pelt, son of the late William Thomas Pelt, Sr. and Mary Eva Addleton Pelt was preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn Worthan Pelt and two sisters, Doris Evans and Frances Henry. He grew up in the Willingham Cotton Mill Village and was a graduate of Lanier High School. Mr. Pelt was retired from Robins Air Force Base and as a salesman with various auto dealers. He was a member of Wesleyan Drive Baptist Church and was an avid Georgia Tech Fan. He was most happy in the outdoors and fishing.
He is survived by his devoted family, his daughters, Pamela Gail Pelt Davis of Jones County, Kathy Elaine Pelt of Juliette and Lisa Pelt Lang of Macon; six beloved grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a brother, Robert E. (Daisy) Pelt of Macon and several nieces and nephews.
