A Celebration of his Life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Lizella Baptist Church with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Chris Minton and Rev. Jeremy Luman will officiate. The family will greet friends from 4 until 6 PM Saturday at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon 31210.
Mr. Bell was born in Swainsboro, Georgia the son of the late Fannie Whitehead Bell and Lent L. Bell. He retired in 1987 after 35 years of service with Robins Air Force Base and was also a member of the National Guard. Mr. Bell was a member of Lizella Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and a member of the Golden Fellowship & Adult Sunday School Class. He very much enjoyed cutting wood for fireplaces and Bar-B-Quing for friends and family.
Mr. Bell is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carlo Hardy Bell of Lizella; children, William L. Bell, Jr. (O.T.) of Lizella, Sharon Spivey (Stewart) of Forsyth, Gary Bell (Kelley) of Warner Robins, Tony Bell (Vicki) of Warner Robins; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Evie Bell; several nieces and nephews.
