MACON – Virginia Watson Terry, 89, of John Wesley Villas, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2010 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 17th at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street with burial in Riverside Cemetery, North Gate. Dr. Marcus Tripp will officiate. The family will meet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time on Wednesday at the funeral home and asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Vineville United Methodist Church, 2045 Vineville Avenue, Macon 31204 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Mrs. Terry, wife of the late John Howard Terry, was a lifelong resident of Macon and the daughter of the late William Augustin Watson and Vera Nottingham Watson Kinney. She was a devoted homemaker and a member of Vineville United Methodist Church where she was also a member of the Ed Cook Sunday School Class. Mrs. Terry was a member of Nathaniel Macon Chapter of N.S.D.A.R., a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, a member of the Clan Gregor Society and a member of the Major William Horton Chapter of N.S.D.A.C.
Survivors include her daughters Dolores T. Henneberry of Leesburg, FL, Patricia T. Wilson of Orlando, FL and Susan T. (Lowry) Tribble of Macon; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Snow’s Memorial Chapel Funeral and Cremation Services, Cherry Street has charge of arrangements.
