Macon, GA—Mr. Tracy C. Peugh, 66, died in the early morning on Monday, March 03, 2014 at his residence. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, March 5 at 11 o’clock in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Pastor Monty Febuary will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201, or to Emory University’s Winship Cancer Institute, 1365 Clifton Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30322.
Mr. Peugh, son of the late Marvin Curtis and Virginia Schuman Peugh, was born in Thomaston, GA. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. Mr. Peugh was the manager of Business Mail Entry at the Macon Post Office and a past Postal Union President. He was also part of the American Postal Workers Union of Macon. For most of his life, Tracy was an active runner. He participated in the Boston Marathon twice and ran many other 5k, 10k, and mini marathons. He was a member of the Atlanta Tracks Club and the Macon Tracks Running Club. Mr. Peugh was a member of Cathedral Church of Christ.
Surviving Mr. Peugh are his daughter, Kristi (Corry) Diehl of Ellerslie; sons, Steven (Wendy) Peugh of Macon, and Brian Peugh of Macon; Grandchildren, Payton Hinton, Brenden Diehl, Parker Diehl, Eli Peugh, Maddox Diehl, and Gracie Peugh.
