Tom was the beloved son of Joann Cotton Kendrick-Holmes and the late Thomas Clarence Kendrick-Holmes, Sr.
Tom graduated from the Butler Center and enjoyed bowling and swimming with the Special Olympics during that time. As he aged, he developed more health issues that limited his activities. He could ride his pony, Prissy, with the family and was able to keep swimming.
Tom loved people and had a gift of a wonderful memory. We are thankful for his life and the love that he gave to so many. Tom was a member of Vineville United Methodist Church.
Tom is survived by his mother, Joann Cotton Kendrick-Holmes; sister, Dimy Mixon (Tom, Jr.) of Atlanta; nephew, Tommy Mixon, III (Claudia) of Dallas, TX; niece, Garrett Rountree (Chandler) of Atlanta; great niece and nephew, Vivian Mixon and Thomas Mixon, IV; his devoted dog, Carmen.
Special friends to Tom were Margaret and Tommy Halliburton, Peggy and Ed Grimsley and Mary Mundy. Caregivers were Virgie Bonner, Lucretia Harden, and Martha Pitts who looked after him with love and care.
