Thomas R. Hilley

WOODBRIDGE, VA – Thomas R. “Tom” Hilley, 61, died Monday, November 22, 2010 after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. Funeral services were held in Woodbridge and graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, November 30th in Riverside Cemetery, North Gate. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Born September 2, 1949 in Macon, he was preceded in death by his younger brother, Stephen and his parents, Reynolds and Elizabeth Hilley. A Navy veteran, he worked as an agent for State Farm Insurance Co. for thirty-four years. He was an active member of the Fraternal Order of the Moose, the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was an avid golfer and loyal fan of his beloved Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Falcons.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Susan; his children, Leigh Deal (and Charlie) and Adam Hilley; three grandchildren, Tyler Hilley, Autumn and Aubrey Deal and stepson, C. J. Deal.
