Thomas “Drew” Calhoun, 97, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018 surrounded by his family. A Celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery with Dr. Neal Wall officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the Baptist Village, 6000 Plantation Way, Macon GA 31210.
Drew was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Horace C. and Annie Drew Calhoun. He was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Willis Calhoun; son, Thomas Horace Calhoun and granddaughter, Kate Schweitzer. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia receiving a Business Degree. Drew served his country in the United States Army during World War II receiving rank as First Lieutenant. He was retired from Equifax after forty five years of service. Drew was a member of Northway Baptist Church and was a member of Kiwanis Club. He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is survived by his daughters, Margaret (Carlos) Flowers of Statesboro, Mary (Rick) Joaquin of Macon; grandchildren, Ryan (Sharon) Flowers, Kelley (Jake) Collins, Carla (Wayne) Duffie, Lisa (Tim) Floyd, Kristy (Scott) Cagle, Zach Calhoun; great grandchildren, Cale, Lilah, and Arabella Flowers, Lindsay, Tal and Anna Collins, Sidney and Layne Duffie, Connor and Drew Floyd, Hudson, Caitlin, and Grayson Cagle, Conner Calhoun and Eve Schweitzer.
