Sven Ake Svensson

Sven Ake Svensson, 78, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 after a nineteen month battle with Mesothelioma. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Scott McMillan will officiate. The family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 or Agape Hospice, 3312 Northside Drive, Macon 31210.

Mr. Svensson was born in Alingsas, Sweden and was a retired machine foreman for Armstrong World Industries for 32 years. He was the son of the late Ena Matilda Svensson and William Ake Anderssen. He served four years in the United States Air Force from 1952 - 1956, before being a legal citizen of the United States. Mr. Svensson was a member of the Harley Owners Group “HOG”, the NRA and loved his family, animals and his garden.

Mr. Svensson is survived by his wife, Martha Beasley Svensson of Macon; daughter, Kristina (Bryan Adams) Svensson of Macon; sons, Terry and Todd Svensson both of Macon; grandchildren, Aubrey Sven Duckworth of Macon, Brent (Vanessa) Svensson of Macon, Maja Duckworth of Macon, Devon Svensson of Macon, Brittany (Nate) Newbold of Crestview, FL, Brandon (Robin) Svensson of Moody, AL, and Danielle Svensson of Pell City, AL.; six great-grandchildren.
