Private graveside services were held Saturday, December 22, 2018 in Forsyth City Cemetery. A Celebration Service of her Life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 29, 2018 at North Macon Presbyterian Church with a visitation following. Rev. David Todd and Rev. John Kinser will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Campus Club, 2193 Vineville Avenue, Macon 31204 or Rebuilding Macon, Inc., 3864 Lake Street, Macon 31204. INA/CIGNA employees are asked to sit together as a group at the funeral service.
Mrs. Wolf was born in Taylor County, Georgia the daughter of the late Pauline Byrd Chancellor and George Hortman. She was a 1955 graduate of A.L. Miller High School. She began working for the Insurance Company of North America after graduation as clerk typist in the underwriting department. Retiring after 37 years in August of 1992 as Human Resources Manager, she considered all of her fellow employees family.
On June 29, 1956 she married Charles T. Wolf, Jr. and they lived for a time in Panama City Beach, Florida, then in Highlands, NC until 2016, always maintaining a home in Macon where her heart was.
Sue and Charles joined Vineville Presbyterian Church in July 1956 and became founding and charter members of North Macon Presbyterian Church in 1986. They joined First Presbyterian Church in February 2016, after returning to Macon.
Mrs. Wolf is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charles T. Wolf, Jr.; her precious fur baby, Emma; numerous nieces and nephews.
