Stanley Boyd Rodgers, 72, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00am until the service. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the American Red Cross or the Disabled American Veterans.
Stanley was born in Macon to the late Albert Thomas and Betty Lou McDowell Rodgers and was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Penrod Rodgers. He proudly served in the United States Navy and worked in Upholstery. Stanley was a member of Safe Harbor Church, was a dedicated donor to the American Red Cross, and an active member of the DAV and the Middle Georgia Radio Association.
Survivors include his daughter, Victoria (Shaun) Barefoot; grandson, Timothy Barefoot; siblings, Larry (Martha) Rodgers, Bill (Donita) Rodgers, Tommie (Johnny) Weeks and Wanda (John Henry) Clance; and many nieces and nephews.
