Shirley Ann Farmer

Shirley Ann Colson Farmer, 78, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2013. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00, on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Dr. David Hunter officiating with entombment in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210.

Mrs. Farmer was born in Dade City, Florida to the late Bonnie Belle Blitch Colson and William Henry Colson, Sr. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and loved gardening around the house. The family would like to thank Pine Pointe Hospice and Central Georgia Cancer Care for their loving kindness and compassion, during her extended illiness.

Mrs. Famer is survived by her loving husband: Willie C. (Jack) Farmer of Macon; sons: Gary (Janice) Farmer and Greg Farmer and fiancé (Tonya Good) both of Macon; grandchildren: Kelli (Ray) Bowden of Smarr, Brad Farmer of Tallahassee, FL, Wendi Almstetter of Miami and Daniel Farmer of Macon; great-grandchildren: Tyler Farmer, Stephen Bowden and Amy Bowden; brother: William (Pamela) Henry Colson, Jr. of Byron; brother-in-law: John Farmer of Waycross.
