Sharon Cotton Jones, 73, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021. Sharon was the firstborn daughter of Ellen Ruth Norsworthy Cotton and Lifus L. “Jack” Cotton. Sharon attended Pearl Stephens Grammar School and A.L Miller High School for girls. After High School she attended Crandall Business College and retired from Georgia Duplicating Company. Sharon, dearly loved retirement and spending time making her home a warm and inviting show case for all to come and gather. She loved spending time with her husband of 50 years and their family, Sharon welcomed all to come and eat at their table. Sharon was of the Methodist faith. She had a passion for sharing Jesus and telling anyone who would listen, how great Our God is and how blessed she was. She felt incredibly blessed to be a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Sharon’s family was her greatest joy.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, William L. “Bill” Jones; her two daughters, Tracie Jones and Denise Jones Cobb; her four grandchildren, Ryan Boothe(Sarah), Torrie Boothe, Tyler Cobb and Leighanna Cobb; her four great grandchildren, Collin, Kason, Kamer and Aubrey; her two sisters, Linda Cotton Jarrard (John) and Jackie Cotton Thomas. She leaves behind as well, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and a host of devoted friends.
As per her wishes a private graveside will be held.
