Sarah Elizabeth Beatty

Sarah Elizabeth Beatty, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, October 4, 2015. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 1:00pm in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Dr. Otis Andrews officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Glenwood Hills Baptist Church, 3225 Rice Mill Rd., Macon 31206, or to the donor’s charity of choice. The family may be contacted at the residence of Tommy and Cathy Beatty.

Mrs. Beatty was born in Fayetteville, Pennsylvania to the late Wayne and Gertrude Nicklow Thomas and was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Beatty and son-in-law, Glenn Higginbotham. She worked in retail for Zayre’s and was a member of Glenwood Hills Baptist Church. Mrs. Beatty was also a past member of the Mabel White Baptist Church choir. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Survivors include her children, Tommy (Cathy) Beatty and Debra Higginbotham; grandchildren, Andy Higginbotham, Danny (Catherine) Higginbotham and Crystal (Sammy) Smith; and great grandchildren, Logan Higginbotham and Alexiss and Aubrey.
