Samuel Lee Glass

Samuel Lee Glass, 70 years of age, passed away on November 12, 2024, in Macon, Georgia.

Lee was born in May 1954 in Macon, Georgia to the late Clyde and Catherine Glass. He was the youngest of 3 children. He is preceded in death by two older brothers

and his wife, Donna Glass. Lee is survived by his sons and their wives whom he loved

like daughters; Edward Glass, Jonathan & Elizabeth Glass, and Benjamin & Brandi Glass. And his 8 grandchildren whom he adored: Sarah McKenzie Glass, Brittney English,

Matthew Glass, Benjamin Noah Glass, Tyler English, Nathan Glass, Taylor Glass, Briella Glass, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Lee married Donna Glass in July 1977 and together raised three boys, Edward Glass,

Jonathan Glass, and Benjamin Glass, while moving about the United States serving first in the

US Army, and then the US Air Force. He made friends from strangers and left long-lasting

friendships all over the country during his 21 years of service.

Lee offered his life to Christ at an early age and had an unwavering dedication to the

Lord. He moved to Eatonton, Georgia in 2004 and joined Manley Memorial Church, now Lake

Country Baptist. He loved working with the youth in the church and could often be found at

church events, particularly Vacation Bible School, camera ready to capture the moment. He

served as a deacon, and most Sundays greeted people at the church entrance with a bulletin

and a handshake. He was called to help others and answered that with a steady willingness to

serve.

Visitation and Funeral services will be held at Lake Country Baptist Church on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. till service time at 11:00 a.m.

Pastor Peter Mattix will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery at 3 p.m.in Macon, Georgia.

Snows Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street Macon has charge of arrangements.
