Rufus M. Gordon, Jr., 85, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015. A Celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 PM Friday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Ricky Tidwell will officiate. The family will greet friends from 5 until 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Gordon was born in Crawford County, Georgia the son of the late Cora Mae and Rufus M. Gordon, Sr. He was the widower of Bama Jean Butler. Mr. Gordon was retired from Armstrong Corp. and was a member of Fellowship Evangelistic Church.
Mr. Gordon is survived by his children, Natasha Gordon, Alan Gordon and Darryl Gordon; several grandchildren including, Amber (Andy) Mason and Brandon Gordon; several great-grandchildren including, Skyler Slappey and Abigail Mason.
