Roy L. Robinson

Roy Lee Robinson, 76, passed away on Monday, August 04, 2014. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Hudgins and Rev. Norm Yukers officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon GA or American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry St., Macon GA 31201.

Mr. Robinson was born in Rock Haven, KY to the late John Arvin and Lillian Penn Robinson. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Arvin Robinson, Jr. Mr. Robinson was retired from Brown & Williamson and was a member of Rock Haven Baptist Church in Rock Haven, KY. He was a Mason and enjoyed fishing. He was a devoted and loving, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.

He is survived by his wife of fifty six years, Dora Robinson of Macon, children, Dorenda (Robert) Mangham of Macon, Robin Mercer of Macon, Sheila (Clayton) Williams of Macon, John Allen (Sonja) Robinson of Columbus, grandchildren, Alicia Mercer (Justin) Ratliff, Brandon Mercer, Chris (Amanda) Walka, Ryan Mangham, Jordan Mangham, Austin Williams, Kayla Williams and Logan Robinson, great grandchildren, London “Bella” Ratliff, and Landon Ratliff, brother, Joseph (Janie) Robinson and niece, Amanda (Jay) Welker.
