Roger Lenson Walden, 85, passed away on January 25, 2022. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society, https://www.cancer.org/.
Mr. Walden was born in Macon, GA on March 22, 1936. He was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church and a graduate of Macon College, where he obtained his Master’s Degree. Mr. Walden was a man of many trades, he retired from Robins Air Force Base after 30 plus years, was a greeter at Wal-Mart on Zebulon Road and photo lab technician at Kroger and Publix. He loved to learn, enjoyed reading and anything to do with history. Mr. Walden also loved watching The History Channel. He is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Helen Walden and brother, Robert Herndon.
Survivors include his sons, John (Stacy) Walden and Paul (Anne) Walden; two grandchildren, Courtney (Crystal) Chapman and David Allen Walden; brother, Billy (Pam) Herndon; sister, Betty (David) Neill; and his four-legged best friend, Leroy.
