Robert Lee Tidwell

Robert Lee Tidwell, 73, passed away on Thursday, February 12 in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Madison Street entrance, on Saturday, February 14 at 2 p.m. with Mr. Andy Watson officiating. The family will greet friends on Friday, February 13 from 5-7 p.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Mr. Tidwell was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Avalee Joyner Tidwell and Harold Sidney Tidwell. He was retired from Norfolk-Southern Railroad. He was a graduate of Lanier High School and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Sharp Tidwell; sons, Robert Lee Tidwell, Jr., Russell (Lisa) Tidwell and Michael Alan Watson; four grandchildren, Dana Tidwell, Jennifer Tidwell, Alyson Tidwell and Jackson Tidwell; two great-grandsons, Clayton Johnson and Mathias Johnson, all of Macon, and several cousins.
