Robert Grady “Bert” Hahn, 59, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Bass Road with the Rev. John Irwin and Rev. Creede Hinshaw officiating. The family will greet friends following the service with a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church, 735 Pierce Avenue, Macon GA 31204, The Methodist Children’s Home, 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon GA 31204 or the donor’s favorite charity.
Bert was born in Macon, Georgia. He attended First Presbyterian Day School and was a 1979 graduate of Central High School. He was a lifelong member of Riverside United Methodist Church. Bert was a beer salesman in the Middle Georgia area for over 30 years. He served local restaurants, bars, convenience stores, and grocery stores during his career. Bert was a dedicated employee of Mid Georgia Sales. He truly loved his job, his co-workers, and his customers. He was an avid Allman Brothers Fan, enjoyed listening to music, and watching sports on T.V. Bert was a devoted and loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Grady “Bob” Hahn, Sr., and his nephew, James Robert “Bobby” Shields.
Bert is survived by his loving wife, Summer Jane Wellborn Hahn of Macon, mother, JoAnn J. Hahn of Macon, sister, Hope (Ken) Shields of Juliette, niece, Ella Wade Shields of Juliette, mother and father-in-law, Jane and Paul Wellborn of Macon, brother and sister-in-law, Pete and Susan Wellborn of Atlanta, niece, Maggie Wellborn of New York, NY., his beloved cat of 10 years, Chip, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
