Robert E. Deal

Robert E. Deal, entered into rest on January 5, 2018. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 8, 2018 at 11:00 am at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Tommy Jordan officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time at the church. Burial will follow in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Baptist Church, P.O. Box 187, Gray, Georgia, 31032.

Mr. Deal was born in Emanuel County, Georgia to the late Vergie Gant and Simon Deal and was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Deal; five sisters; and seven brothers. He received his education in Emanuel County, graduating from ECI. Mr. Deal took numerous courses in the electrical field and was a retired electrician. He was a member of Central Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Mr. Deal served in the United States Army, was a member of the Masonic Fraternity, Fort Hawkins Lodge No. 418, Macon Lodge No. 5, William A. Davis Daylight Lodge No. 753, and served as Worshipful Master of each Lodge. He was also a member of Eastern Star, Amaranth and York Rite Bodies, Scottish Rite Bodies and was a 33 Degree Mason.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Rosalyn “Rosie” Deal; sister, Lillian Reece of Norman, OK; several nieces and nephews; and extended family, Dana and Eddie Booth, Ashley, Carla Booth and Brent Mitchell and Ms. Lynda Grissom.
