Richard Morgan Dalrymple, 79, passed away on April 18, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, April 25, 2022 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
Richard was born in Pittsfield, MA to the late Richard Dalrymple and Hellen Morgan Dalrymple. He was a retired chemist and enjoyed listening to classical music. His hobbies included collecting coins and stamps, traveling and drawing blueprints of train model railroads. Richard was on the board of the Chapter Railroad Conference. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Dr. Barbara Jean Allen Dalrymple. Richard was a loving husband, brother and friend. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Survivors include his siblings, David Dalrymple, Jean Dalrymple, Douglas Dalrymple, and Susan Dalrymple; and close family friend, Sharon Rodriguez.
