Priscilla Y. Young, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 19, 2021. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Plantation Suites, Baptist Village, 6000 Plantation Way, Macon GA 31210. The family has requested business casual attire.
Priscilla was a devoted follower of Christ. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry L. Young.
Priscilla was known by many as The Bible Story Lady. Her Story Ministry extended far beyond the state of Georgia into churches, various teaching sessions, and storytelling competitions where she was awarded many honors.
Priscilla was a dental hygienist by profession. She later had a calling to the deaf ministry and interpreted at Mable White Church for over 20 years.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt.
She is survived by her devoted children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren: son, Darrell Young and his wife Brenda Young; and daughter, Kathy Young Barker and her husband Danny Barker; grandchildren, Brent Young and his wife Ellen Young, Amanda Young Pero and her husband Billy Pero, and Wesley Barker and his wife Jess Barker, and Amy Grace Barker Cooper; great-grandchildren, Jessie, Jada, and Jake Young, Lena and Sadie Pero, and McKenzie, Madelyn, and Merrick Cooper. She is also survived by a host of loving nieces and nephews.
